A unique handcrafted bench of my own design. The seating area has been repurposed from the headrest of an old midcentury teak bedframe. This piece of wood fell into my lap by coincidence and I could not refuse to use it for a somewhat original piece. The seat is supported by four legs in solid mahogany with a distinctive midcentury/modern design and the assemply is supported with brass rods and 26 brass dowels to lock everything together. Small repairs have been made with brass inlays and the whole thing has been finished with a hardwax oil.
The bench is very sturdy and easily holds <200kg and likely more. Small signs of use and wear can be found throughout the piece and adds to the history.
Ideal for a bed-end bench or for the hallway. Please note that the bench has a substantial length which must be accounted for in any future location.
