Two lounge chairs from Aage Bruun og Søn. This is a version of the so-called "Safari chair" from mid-1900.
This model has a wooden structure which is soap-treated beech and these two chairs are of different leather color (cognac and brown).
These two chairs have been newly renovated with stitchings where needed and smaller reparations to the leathers. The leather is original and shows immense patina.
The wood has been sanded and treated anew with soap - just like it was done originally.
The leather has been cleaned where needed and has been treated with oil (for better penetration) where it got too stiff and has been treated generally with wax to keep the moisture in.
A few leather pins have been replaced and the seating has been tightened.
There is a seating cushion with one chair. This has had significant renovation done as it was falling apart and is not original. It is perfectly useable and the leather shows great patina.
